A host of events to be held as part of Mental Health Week 2017

Mitch McPherson from Speak Up Stay ChatTy will help launch Mental Health Week (MHW) 2017, at the IMAS lecture theatre, in Hobart, on Monday 9 October.

With this year's theme being 'Stronger Together,' MHW  2017 (October 8 to 14) aims to raise awareness about mental health and break down stigma and promote ways we can improve our mental health -  in the same way we do our physical health.

As part of MHW 2017, the University is providing a range of events across campuses, including presentations for staff and students, workgroups and a full week full of activities to boost your mental health.

MHW Stronger Together workplace kits will be sent out to to create a focus in every workgroup, with a poster, wristband and mental health information (look out for a red bag in your mailbox). ' PowerPack 1- 3' about mental health topics, will also be coming to your email box.

There will also be two hour workshops for managers – Reserve a place
