New breadth units offer interesting study opportunities for College of Health and Medicine students

College of Health and Medicine students will have the chance to broaden their perspectives and their studies, through a number of new breadth subjects on offer this year.

Three new breadth units available to students in 2018 developed particularly to enhance and build on the degree offerings of our College of Health and Medicine students include:

  • Complementary Medicines in Contemporary Society (XBR120) – available in Semester 1 and Semester 2
  • Sport Doping, Performance Enhancing Drugs and Their Detection (XBR122) – available in Semester 1 and Semester 2
  • The Global Challenge of Understanding Dementia (XBR121) – available in Semester 2

These new offerings have been chosen particularly to enhance and build on the degree offerings of our College of Health and Medicine students.

These are new units available to students in addition to an already diverse list of breadth units available.

Created as a joint effort between all of the University’s Colleges and study areas, breadth subjects help give students access to a wider world-view and fully rounded education both at University and into the future.

Already a requirement for many degrees, breadth units are aimed at capturing areas of most interest and benefit to students and will be an integral part of all degrees in the future.

Many degrees have breadth unit requirements.  In addition to the new offerings, there are also a number of other breadth units on offer.

Places are filling fast, especially with the new offerings on hand, so get in soon to secure your place.
