Reporting and Recording Absence from PEP

The Bachelor of Nutrition Science program has a 100% attendance expectation for professional experience placements. Placement providers are not required to provide additional days and, in many circumstances, may be unable to offer additional placement days. This means that missed days may compromise your successful completion of the unit.

Any absence, whether planned or unexpected, must be recorded. In the event of illness or circumstances resulting in absence, you must:

  • notify your placement site supervisor;
  • notify the Unit Coordinator; and
  • obtain documented evidence regarding the absence (e.g., Medical Certificate/s, Statutory Declaration explanation). Instructions for submitting evidence of absence will be provided to you.
