The University of Tasmania is conducting research on the effectiveness of exercise physiology services on health outcomes for people diagnosed with Type II Diabetes. We are looking for people who have been diagnosed with Type II Diabetes, but not referred to an exercise professional for exercise as diabetes therapy, to participate in this national study.
To participate, you will need to attend the University's Exercise Physiology Clinic in Launceston on two occasions, approximately six months apart, for an hour. During these visits you will be asked to complete some body composition measures, exercise and strength tests and a lifestyle questionnaire.
This study has been reviewed by the Tasmanian Health and Medical Human Research Ethics Committee and received ethics clearance (HREC project number 00151222).
