"Studying alongside work can be motivating when I come across real life situations that are directly related to my studies."

Master of Clinical Pharmacy
I have always enjoyed the clinical side of pharmacy, and wanted the opportunity to expand my skills and knowledge in clinical pharmacy, as well as get some experience in conducting a research project.
I chose to study postgraduate pharmacy at the University of Tasmania because the Division of Pharmacy has an excellent reputation around Australia, and I wanted the chance to learn and study at a university that is heavily involved in pharmacy research and advancements to the profession.
This course has allowed me to build on my knowledge and understanding of clinical pharmacy and different disease states, and will open up opportunities for me to work in a variety of clinical settings.
I have found all the tutors and subject coordinators to be very knowledgeable, extremely approachable, helpful, and very organised in the provision of this course. I have been very fortunate to have Dr Tabish Razi Zaidi as my research project supervisor, and I really appreciate his helpful advice, encouragement, and approachability whilst studying my course.
I have really enjoyed studying through the University of Tasmania, and have particularly liked the chance to be able to study in depth clinical subjects, conduct a research project, and the opportunity to be challenged.
I currently work as a full-time pharmacist at a private hospital, and find it helpful to be studying online. It allows me to study in my own time and fit my degree around work and other commitments. Studying alongside work can be motivating when I come across real life situations that are directly related to my studies.
I would definitely recommend the University of Tasmania to any of my colleagues or anyone that was interested in studying any pharmacy course. The reputation, staff, and facilities are world-class and the lecturers/tutors are very accommodating and always happy to help. Despite the fact that this course is online, lecturers/tutors are never hard to contact when you are seeking guidance or advice. I can honestly say that choosing to study through the University of Tasmania has been the best educational decision I have made for my career.
My survival tips for fellow students are to stay on top of your studies, and don't leave assessment tasks until the last minute. This will give you the best opportunity to do as well as you can on each assessment and learn as much as possible.
