Available to a student undertaking an honours project in History, this $2000 scholarship commemorates Andrew Inglis Clark (1848-1907), Tasmanian federalist and the 'primary architect of our constitution'.
Up to ten honours scholarships worth $2000 each will be provided by the Faculty of Arts each year. These scholarships are available to students who have completed an undergraduate degree at the University of Tasmania, or another Australian university, and who will be undertaking a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) program at UTAS in 2012.
This scholarship commemorates James Backhouse and George Washington Walker, Quaker missionaries to Van Diemen’s Land, and James Backhouse Walker, Tasmanian lawyer, scientist and historian, and vice-chancellor of the University of Tasmania. Available to a student undertaking an honours project in History, this scholarship is worth $2000.
