Up to 10 honours scholarships will be provided by the Faculty of Arts at the University of Tasmania each year. Visit the Faculty of Arts website for more information on studying Arts honours at UTAS, including selection criteria and research proposals.
Available to students who have completed an undergraduate degree at the University of Tasmania, or another Australian university, and who will be undertaking a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) program at UTAS in 2012. Applications will be assessed by the following criteria:
(a) results achieved at undergraduate level;
(b) evidence of initiative, research skills and general aptitude of the applicant as provided by the referees;
(c) evidence of research strength in line with the Faculty's research capacity and strength as provided by the research proposal; and
(d) availability of an appropriate supervisor and the capacity of the School to provide support for the proposed project.
To retain this award, recipients are required to achieve a minimum Pass result in all units studied each semester.

31 October 2011 for students commencing in Semester 1, 2012
30 June 2012 for students commencing in Semester 2, 2012
Applicants should apply online at Scholarships and Bursaries, and forward a copy of the Referee's Report for Honours and Postgraduate applicants (Word 174KB) to two referees. All potential honours students should make contact with the Honours Coordinator in their discipline to discuss interests and options.
