The British Enlightenment Research Network (BERN) has been established to foster and facilitate collaborative links between Australian and international researchers in the field of British studies during the Enlightenment period.

The Network aims to develop the research capacity of British Enlightenment studies through the construction of competitive team-based projects. To facilitate the exchange of ideas and the interaction of researchers, BERN will host a range of events such as public lectures, symposia and workshops.

The hub of this Network is located at the Cradle Coast Campus of the University of Tasmania, where most of the events will be hosted.

Network Convenor: Dr Mike Davis

BERN operates through the generous support of the ARC Network for Early European Research (NEER).
