Human Life Sciences is based at the Launceston campus of the University of Tasmania and provides education in human biology and related life sciences from undergraduate to doctoral level.
Human Life Sciences offers five undergraduate programs; Bachelor of Biomedical Science, Bachelor of Health Science, Bachelor of Exercise Science, Bachelor of Health Science (Environmental Health) and Bachelor of Health Science/Bachelor of Medical Radiation Science. Human Life Sciences is proactive in the development of links with other Universities to further develop options for Bachelor of Health Science undergraduates to meet emerging workforce needs.
In addition we offer a Postgraduate Diploma of Medical Laboratory Science and Master of Biomedical Science for students with a previous degree in Health Science, Science or health related disciplines.
Honours, Masters and Doctoral level students contribute to Human Life Sciences' dynamic research programme in the areas of Haematology, Antimicrobial Resistance, Nutrition, Lifestyle & Disease, Vanilloid Pharmacology, Renal Disease and Exercise.
