General Responsibilities
- Undertake and coordinate laboratory and clinical research, particularly in the area of nutrition, metabolism and Chronic diseases including coronary heart disease and diabetes
- Supervise and assist post-graduate research students and other researchers working on related projects
- Manage laboratory equipment and appropriate resources
- Contribute to relevant undergraduate teaching in the areas of nutrition and health, cardiovascular disease and diabetes
Research Interests
Kiran undertakes research in the area of nutrition investigating the effects of foods more common in Mediterranean and Asian cuisines on the risk factors for coronary heart disease and Type-2 diabetes.
