The School of Human Life Sciences holds an annual Case Study Presentation and Awards Night. Clinical case studies are presented by fourth year students at the end of their professional placement in front of staff from industry and the School of Human Life Sciences. Numerous awards are also presented on the night;

• AIMS Derek Smith Award for Best First Year Student
• AIMS Gary Peace Prize for Most Improved Second Year Student
• AIMS FJ Brown Award for Best Third Year Student
• CSL Immunohaematology Prize for Best Student in Haematology
• AACB Prize for Best Student in Clinical Chemistry/Immunology
• Diagnostic Services Pty Ltd Prize for Overall Excellence in Biomedical Science
• Diagnostic Services Pty Ltd & Northern Tasmanian Pathology Service Award for Best Case Study Presentation
