Philosophy at UTAS is decidedly pluralistic in its outlook. We highly value interdisciplinary collaboration, internationally, nationally, and locally, and we are proud of our friendly and student-centered culture. The discipline of Philosophy contains a number of different traditions, and they are well represented at UTAS. Our program is the only one in Australia that is active in the traditions of Analytic Philosophy, Continental Philosophy, Buddhist Philosophy, Gender Studies, and History of Philosophy.
