In recognition of the University of Tasmania's new sponsorship arrangement with world-renowned cricket superstar Kumar Sangakkara, the University is providing up to 25 scholarships for eligible Sri Lankan nationals to undertake undergraduate or postgraduate studies at the University of Tasmania in 2016.

Scholarships for international students completing Year 11 & 12 in Australia

If you are completing Years 11 and 12 in Australia and have a tertiary entrance score, you can apply for any of the scholarships below and will be considered alongside domestic applicants. The value of the scholarship will be deducted from the international fees.

If you have completed at least one semester of studies at the University of Tasmania, you will be eligible to apply for scholarships available to all continuing students (domestic and international).

Offered by the Indonesian Endowment Fund for Education, this Indonesian Government scholarship is open to high achieving Indonesian students studying Masters or Research courses in the following areas:

  • Marine
  • Maritime
  • Education
  • Health

English Language Bursary for Thai and Latin American Students

If you are a Thai or Latin American student interested in studying English at the University of Tasmania you may be eligible for a reduction on your UTASAccess English tuition fees.

  • Tuition Fees AUD$1,500 per 5 week module (currently AUD$1975 for full paying students)

To be eligible:

  • You must have accepted your English offer (or English + Degree program) by 30th June 2017.
  • Complete your English studies by Semester 1, 2018.
  • Undertake a minimum 10 weeks of English.

All Thai and Latin American applicants will be automatically assessed for this bursary and will be notified at the time of offer if they are eligible.
