Graduate Diploma of Legal Practice
Current position: Lawyer at Mackie Crompton Barristers and Solicitors
It was an easy choice to make to study Law at UTAS. The law school is one of the best in the country and features first-class teaching, approachable staff and a fantastic campus experience.
I had a good learning experience during my combined Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Laws, hence my decision to stay on to complete the Graduate Diploma of Legal Practice.
My postgraduate study gave me exposure to every area of law in practice and a solid foundation to build upon. I was admitted as a Barrister and Solicitor of the High Court of Australia and the Supreme Court of Tasmania in 2012. Since then, I have been working in a law firm in Hobart.
My advice to future postgraduate students: Be passionate about what you study, embrace the knowledge imparted to you and you will find your time in UTAS very rewarding.
