Internationalisation at UTAS

Internationalisation of the Curriculum Project

Background

The Internationalisation Committee instigated an internationalisation of the curriculum (IoC) project as part of the Internationalisation Plan 2011-2013. The project was specified as the key way of meeting the objectives of Goal 2 which relates directly to IoC: ‘UTAS will use an internationalised curriculum - that is global in perspective and facilitates intercultural competence’.

The project commenced with the appointments of Dr Marion Myhill as the project’s Academic Director and Ms Christa Moch as the Executive Officer.

The focus of this project is:

  • Establishing a Community of practice
  • Building networks
  • Staff development through workshops
  • Develop a university-wide database to inform an audit of current IoC practice
