The backup and retrieval of corporate and research files is an enterprise service provided by ITR to the University. The backup process includes daily incremental change backup of files, weekly full backup of files and routine archiving of data.
Files can be restored from an extensive archive of disk and tape storage. The file name, location and retrieval date are required to perform this service.
This service does not include
ITR Infrastructure and operations team monitor file storage and backup systems to ensure data is secure and infrastructure provides capacity and business continuity. Monitoring is automated with event alerts and weekly reports, supplemented with ad hoc analysis.
