The University of Tasmania (UTAS) has a rapidly growing collection of staff utilising mobile devices, such as iPads, for day to day work. These devices allow staff to continue to be productive whilst on the move and allow access to UTAS resources anytime from anywhere. UTAS ITS is currently only actively supporting iPads that have a support arrangement associated with them either through direct support only (department purchased) or leased through ITS's Procurement facility.
All Apple iOS devices (iPad, iPhone, iPod Touch) have the ability to connect to Wi-Fi networks. Through UConnect on campus, and whilst using VPN off campus, staff can also access:

* For access to certain UTAS services whilst outside the UConnect network, VPN will need to be configured.
