Software and Database upgrade to OASys

Start Date

End Date

Type

Planned Outage

On Monday 26th June we will be upgrading the Production OASys application (Dragon) and its database.

Due to the tight integration between OASys and the online application system it will also be necessary to take eApplication offline.

The upgrade is scheduled for between 9am and 5pm and it is likely that both systems will be unavailable for the duration.

Who does this affect?

Users of eApplication and OASys will be unable to access these applications.

Applicants attempting to access “apply2017.utas.edu.au” will be redirected to a maintenance page explaining the outage.

What services are affected?

  • OASys (unavailable)
  • eApplication (unavailable)

What is being done?

We are applying software updates to OASys to address software issues and add features. A full breakdown of the changes associated with this release is available on request.

In order to retain full vendor support for the OASys database, it is also necessary on this occasion to perform an Ingres upgrade – and it is this change that accounts for the prolonged outage.
