Staff email on our Exchange servers is currently unavailable. This is affecting access via Outlook and also webmail (Outlook web access). This is currently being worked on as a very high priority.

UPDATE 8:55am Tuesday 12-Sept-2017: The email administrators are making some progress but are not yet able to advise of an ETA for staff email service restoration.

UPDATE 9:30am Tuesday 12-Sept-2017: The email administrators continue to make progress but are not yet able to advise of an ETA for staff email service restoration. The nature of the issue indicates that the earliest service restoration point may be after midday today.

UPDATE 9:55am Tuesday 12-Sept-2017: Student inbound email (via Office365) is also somewhat impacted by this outage as there may be some delay in the processing of new inbound emails to student email accounts. Student outbound email should not be impacted.

UPDATE 10:30am Tuesday 12-Sept-2017: The email administrators continue to make progress but are not yet able to advise of a firm ETA for staff email service restoration. They continue to be on track for a possible email service restoration around lunchtime today.

UPDATE 11:10am Tuesday 12-Sept-2017: The email administrators continue to make progress but remain unable to confirm an ETA for staff email service restoration. They are on track for a possible email service restoration after lunchtime today.

UPDATE 11:45am Tuesday 12-Sept-2017: The email administrators are continuing to work with the email storage system Vendors high level teams. They remain hopeful of a possible email service restoration after lunchtime today.

UPDATE 12:15pm Tuesday 12-Sept-2017: ITS are currently working with vendors to rectify an email service outage. At this time we are unable to provide an ETA for recovery, we will provide additional updates as progress is made.

UPDATE 12:45pm Tuesday 12-Sept-2017: We apologise for and understand the inconvenience of the current staff email outage. ITS are currently working with vendors to rectify this. At this time we are unable to provide an ETA for recovery. Please be aware Skype for Business can be used as an alternative to transmit files and instant messages. We will continue to provide additional updates on this page as progress is made.

UPDATE 12:55pm Tuesday 12-Sept-2017: The email administrators are currently hopeful of restoring email service within an hour.

UPDATE 1:30pm Tuesday 12-Sept-2017: The staff email service is now available again. Our apologies for this significant disruption to University business. The email administrators are continuing to work on an analysis of the cause.
