Subscribing to a Podcast of your units' lecture recordings

Some units provide the facility to sign up to a podcast. Signing up to a podcast provides the ability to setup your computer (at home) to automatically download new lecture recordings when they are made available. You need appropriate software to do this. We recommend Apple iTunes which is free for both Mac and PC platforms. this can be downloaded from the help and software requirements page at the top of the recording list. Recordings that are automatically downloaded via the podcast can be played on your computer or a portable media device.

Units set up for podcast have a link subscribe to this podcast at the top of the window – just below the help and software requirements link.

 To subscribe to the podcast for your unit, click on the ‘subscribe to this podcast’ link and follow the directions in the podcast window.

Hint – how to set up Apple iTunes to subscribe to a podcast

Copy one of the URL's in the Lectopia podcast window (example shown above).

In the Apple iTunes software:

• Click on the Advanced menu and choose Subscribe to Podcast.

• Paste the URL you copied into the window and click on OK

Current and any new recordings will automatically download under the podcast section of the Apple iTunes software.

Recordings from previous weeks will be listed (but not automatically downloaded). These can be easily downloaded by clicking on the appropriate Get button for each recording.
