JMC Media Lab

The Journalism, Media and Communications Lab was launched by the Hon David Bartlett MHA, Minister for Education, and Vice-Chancellor Professor Daryl Le Grew, on 16 May 2007.

The new Media Lab includes five radio and video production studios, a twenty-space editing suite and a newsroom. The new lab's design recognises the shift that has occurred in the media in recent years. JMC students are encouraged to embrace the new technologies now availbale - from mobile phones to MP3s to high-end cameras, field recorders and editing software - to produce exciting and important journalism and media. Students completing our program will be equipped with the skills required to work a dynamic and evolving media and communications environment.
