The mid‐semester break in Semester 1 commences on the Thursday before Good Fridaywith classes resuming on the following Thursday.

Semester 1 (and Semester 2) consist of 13 weeks of teaching.

There is a 6 week break between the end of Semester 1 and the beginning of Semester 2 (comprising a study week, the Semester 1 examination period and a vacation break).

The mid‐semester break in Semester 2 is held in week 8.

The HECS census dates are generally set at 23rd March for Semester 1 and 10th August for Semester 2 (regardless of the day of the week these dates fall). These dates should be confirmed annually.
