The University of Tasmania’s winter graduation round concluded on Saturday with hundreds of students crossing the stage of the Albert Hall in Launceston.
More than 900 graduates were conferred at two ceremonies in the north, adding to the more than 1600 students who graduated in Hobart a week earlier.
University of Tasmania Vice-Chancellor Professor Peter Rathjen said graduation ceremonies were joyful events that marked the culmination of much hard work and scholarship.
“For our students, these ceremonies are the end of one chapter, and the beginning of another,” Professor Rathjen said.
“Their studies have helped identify, shape and hone their talents, and now they will take those talents out into the community to the benefit of us all.
“The University community congratulates our graduates and we celebrate their efforts with great pride.”
