Peter Underwood Centre Deputy Director – Research, Professor Kitty te Riele will be among 30 invited leaders and change-makers at the Creating the Australia We Want, Leadership and Solutions Forum in Melbourne on Wednesday, 2 August 2017.
The first in a series of forums follows the launch of the Community Council for Australia’s Australia We Want, First Report in October last year.
The report benchmarks how Australia is performing against values and goals prioritised by leaders from across the charities sector and paints a picture of a compassionate, fair, inclusive, generous and innovative country.
The first forum will focus on the catalytic role of education, how to achieve better outcomes in terms of retention and educational attainment for young people, and prioritise up to three key policy positions.
“The national Forum reflects the vision underpinning the Peter Underwood Centre – that improving educational attainment is a key strategy for transforming young lives,” Professor te Riele said.
