Volunteers are being called for this year’s Festival of Bright Ideas being held in Hobart on August 11-12.
Held as part of National Science Week, the festival is currently recruiting for people to lend a hand over the two-day event at PW1.
The festival is an inclusive celebration of the Tasmanian science sectors showcasing hands-on activities, displays, workshops, performances, lectures and forums.
It focuses on innovative and inspiring aspects of STEM (science, technology, engineering and mathematics) with a view to providing an educational, aspirational and family friendly experience for visitors.
Volunteer roles at the event include greeting attendees, guiding school groups, time keeping, exhibitor support and breaks, workshop assistants, distribution of event information, stage support, site maintenance and social media managers.
The University of Tasmania is a partner of the festival.
