'Does the new regulatory framework for environmental protection and natural resource management in Colombia, Ecuador, Peru and Chile promote sustainable development in those countries?'
Colombia, Ecuador, Peru and Chile are the countries bordering the East Coast of the Pacific Ocean, one of the most important oceans in the world. These countries have been working on the implementation of the sustainable development discourse to manage their natural resources and provide for environmental protection. In light of the international agreements and requirements, the pre-existing legal framework has been extensively modified and new institutions have been created. However, has this implementation been coherent with the discourse that they are adopting? More precisely, does the new regulatory framework for environmental protection and natural resource management in Colombia, Ecuador, Peru and Chile promote sustainable development in those countries, as was the original intention?
Lynna has a Bachelor Degree in Law from the National University of Colombia and a Bachelor Degree in Accounting from the Javeriana University. She joined the Tax Practice of Deloitte Colombia in 2004 where she focused on tax advisory and consultancy for companies and individuals. In 2008 Lynna took a study leave to complete a Master Degree in International Tax at the University of Melbourne. Lynna moved permanently to Australia in October 2012, and was admitted as a PhD Candidate at UTAS in February 2013
