The Faculty of Law will be offering a Relocation Scholarship (PDF 1.6MB) to all eligible students.  The Scholarship is designed to encourage interstate students to study Law at UTAS by assisting with the financial costs of moving to Tasmania.

The Relocation Scholarship consists of a one-off reimbursement payment of approximately $5,000 (½ to be paid after the first applicable census date – and ½ after the next applicable census date).

The scholarship is awarded on an automatic basis to all eligible students who accept an offer and enrol to study Law at UTAS. Students do not need to complete a separate application form. Notification of the scholarship and eligibility will be included in students’ letter of offer.

To be eligible for the Relocation Scholarship, students need to meet the following criteria:

Year 12

• Be a new/commencing University student
• Have recently completed year 12
• Have achieved an ATAR of 90 or above (or the equivalent)
• Are enrolled in a direct entry Bachelor of Laws or Combined Degree with Law at the University of Tasmania as of the applicable census date

Graduates or non-year 12 applicants

• Students who have achieved at a similar high standard at university and are enrolling for the first time in a law degree at the University of Tasmania
