Innovation, Collaboration and Access to Justice: In describing the work of the Centre for Innovative Justice, Rob will speak about his career path and his motivations for setting up the Centre. He will talk about using the justice system as a positive intervention in people's lives and how RMIT University and the University of Tasmania can collaborate to offer life changing experiences to students.

After studying law at RMIT Rob undertook Aboriginal Legal Aid work in Queensland for 5 years then became a Federal MP. On returning to Melbourne Rob became Attorney General in 1999 to 2010. He also became Deputy Premier in 2007. In 2012 he resigned from Parliament and wasappointed the Director of the Centre for Innovative Justice.
