High Noon in the East - The Crisis in North Korea and International Law

Guest of the Law Faculty Dr Matthias Hartwig, senior researcher at Germany’s Max Planck Institute for Comparative Public Law and International Law, explores the North Korea crisis and whether there is any justification under international law for starting a war against the rogue state. Matthias was recently a visitor to the Law Faculty working on an Australia-Germany research project with Dr Peter Lawrence on representation of future generations through international climate litigation. Matthias’s presentation on North Korea was made 22 September, 2017.
