The UTAS Animal Law Conference 2013 will provide a multidisciplinary outlook on a range of topics in the animal law space. This includes the very topical issue of live export, animals and consumer law, comparative animal law and the regulations that surround animal law.
The conference has secured a variety of impressive speakers, with speakers coming to Tasmania from universities around Australia (ANU, Griffith University, University of Queensland and Bond), as well as one speaker from the US (University of New Mexico).

The Conference will run over one weekend in January (19th-20th), featuring the following:

If you are unable to register as a participant or offer your assistance as a volunteer, you can attend the Q and A on live export on Saturday 19th (3.00PM). The Q and A is free, and open to the public. It will run for two hours, followed by a complimentary afternoon tea. If you would like to attend the Q and A, please RSVP to: Animal Law Conference.
