MyLO provides three main communication tools to support communications/discussions-based activities:

• Discussions - threaded, blogs, journals
• Chat/whiteboard room
• Mail.

You have probably already made a decision about which of these tools you will use in the planning and design stages. Developing or providing a framework for suitable activities that utilise the strengths of each tool is the next task.

The following pages provide information and advice on developing activities for each of these three tools.
