One of the best features that MyLO offers is the ability to track how students are using your online course and report on that use. Comprehensive information is available in three main areas:

1. usage of particular tools by the class as a whole
2. usage of particular online courses(content page, quiz, discussion topic, etc ) by the class as a whole
3. activity on the part of individual students (pages visited, number of discussion messages read and posted, etc).

In all you can generate and view seven different types of report in MyLO - each giving a different perspective on student use of your online course.

This provides a powerful method for keeping an "electronic eye" on how your students are going. It can provide valuable data for:

• identifying students who have not accessed the course
• identifying students who have not accessed specific areas of content
• identifying students who have not read and/or posted discussion messages
• identifying content pages which are not being used, or not read in detail by students

This information can be used to identify and assist students who are having difficulty, and to improve the content pages and general design of the unit.
