The University Library employs a number of casuals to assist in carrying out a range of tasks for the different sections. Tasks range from routine reshelving and moving of materials to staffing the front desks, including evening and weekend work, backfilling for staff absences and work on special projects.
Applicants must complete an Application for Casual Work form (PDF 51KB) and return it to the library with a copy of your resume.

Unless otherwise stated, applications will be considered valid for the current calendar year only.
Preference is given to current students of the University and those applicants with an interest in gaining experience in library work and who have, or are working towards completion of, Library/Information Services Certificate IV, Information Technology Certificate IV, or an equivalent qualification.
Work is arranged in blocks of three hours, although this may be modified to fit in with studies for students employed as casuals.
Applicants who have professional library qualifications are also welcome to be listed on the register for relief and project work.
