Your Library Personal Identification Number is allocated to
you by the Library and is required to enable you to do the following
from our catalogue:
Your PIN will be emailed to you at the start of the year. You
can change your PIN at the Client Services Desk of any
of our Libraries or you can change it yourself by logging on
to My Account via the catalogue.
Your PIN is a 4 digit number that, in the first instance, is
allocated to you by the Library using the following formula:
1st digit of PIN = 2nd digit of borrower birthday DAY
2nd digit of PIN = 2nd digit of borrower birthday MONTH
(e.g. If you were born on the 26/09/82, the first digit of
your PIN would be 6 and the second digit would be 9)
Last 2 digits of PIN = last 2 digits of residential house number
or PO Box number. Flat numbers and unit numbers are ignored.
If only one digit in house number or PO Box then 3rd digit of
PIN is 0.
It is advisable that you change your PIN as soon as possible via "My Account" or at any Client Services Desk..
