Asian Development Bank Statistics
Statistical data includes key indicators of developing Asian and Pacific countries, quarterly and monthly data for selected countries, poverty and development indicators, technical assistance and other statistical reports.

Australian Bureau of Statistics
The major source of Australian statistics. Available from the Library's Databases page.  Covers demography, education, labour, tourism, crime, health, finance and more. All Australian Bureau of statistics publications from 1998 on, plus other spreadsheets and time series.

Australian Immigration Statistics (Department of Immigration & Multicultural & Indigenous affairs)
Immigration, multicultural and population data, including overseas arrivals and departures, and citizenship.

Australian Statistical Internet Sites
Links to other general sites for Australian statistics, to Australian statistics departments and organisations, and to statistics by subject and state.

Australian Tourism Datacard
Selected statistics from the International Visitor Survey, National Visitor Survey, and Domestic Tourism Monitor.

US crime and justice statistics including crime trends, homicide trends, and law enforcement management and administrative statistics.

Bureau of Labor Statistics (U.S)
Detailed statistics for inflation and consumer spending, wages, earnings and benefits, productivity, safety and health, occupations, employment and unemployment, and some international statistics.

CensusScope
U.S. demographic trends. Includes multiracial and population growth, population by race, age structure, and family structure.

Child Labour Statistics (ILO)
Includes National Survey reports, with tables, from a number of countries; general reports with statistics, raw data etc.

Country & Regional Data
Compilation of statistical sites for all countries, arranged by general and specific topics.

Crime and Criminal Justice Statistics (Australian Institute of Criminology)
Includes corrections, deaths in custody, drug use, drug-related crimes and deaths, homicide, juvenile crime and justice and policing, plus links to other crime statistics sources.

Eurostat
A selection of statistics from the European Union, covering economy and finance, population and social conditions, trade and industry, agriculture and fisheries, transport, environment and energy, science and technology.

FAOSTAT (Food and Agriculture Organisation of the United Nations)
Contains time-series records covering international statistics on agriculture (including production, trade, machinery ,land use, irrigation, fertilizers and pesticides), as well as nutrition, fisheries, forestry, nutrition and food quality control.

FedStats
A gateway to statistics from over 100 US Federal agencies.

Food Outlook (FAO)
Global perspective on production, stocks and trade of cereals and other basic food commodities.  Analysis and statistical information on world cereal markets, export prices, freight rates. Trends in global food aid availability and food emergencies.

GenderStats (World Bank)
Compiles data on key gender topics from national and international agencies. Statistics include basic demographic, labour force, political participation, education, health, socioeconomic roles etc

Global Statistics
World population statistics arranged by regions, countries, provinces and cities.  Some statistics on economic factors.

Gradstats
Annual surveys of graduates of Australian universities, including percentage employed, a d starting salaries.

Higher Education Statistics Agency (UK)
Statistical tables on students, staff, income and expenditure.

Higher Education Statistics Collection (Australia)
Includes some tables on finance, research expenditure, staff and students.

International Crime Statistics (Interpol)
Annual statistics for Interpol member countries (including Australia).  Crimes covered include murder, sex offences, theft of all kinds, fraud, counterfeit currency offences and drug offences.

International Data Base (IDB)
Contains statistical tables of demographic and socio-economic data for 227 countries and areas of the world. 

International Economic Data
Links to Web sites that provide economic and financial data, exchange rates, trade information, and central banks for countries worldwide.

International Energy Agency - Selected Energy Statistics
Includes monthly energy survey, monthly price statistics, natural gas survey, oil survey' renewables information and energy indicators 

International Monetary Fund
Provides financial statistics for countries of the world over the last 5 years.

LABORSTA  
Labour statistics database operated by the International Labour Organization Bureau of Statistics.  Consists mainly of annual time series used in the publication of the Yearbook of Labour Statistics. Covers 200 countries and territories back to 1969.

League of Nations Statistical Yearbooks
Covering the years 1926 to 1944 these provide data on the territory, economy population, transport, trade, commerce and currency of League of Nation member states during the interwar period.

Migration Information Source- Global Data Center
Migration data from major countries of the world, derived from primary sources including census, survey and governmental administrative data. Includes comparative charts and tables, country-specific charts and tables, and country profiles.

Monthly economic and social indicators (Australia)
Covers labour market, wages and prices, national accounts, business conditions, finance, external transactions, social statistics and international comparisons.

Nation Master
Over  600 statistical data sets, allowing comparisons between the countries of the world.  Can be used to generate graphs and maps.  Also includes profiles of individual countries.

National Statistics Online
Official economic and social statistics from the United Kingdom

National Workers' Compensation Statistics
Data on occupational injuries and diseases in Australia.

OECD Statistics
Statistical tables covering development, economics, education, employment, energy, health, social issues, trade, and more, for OECD member countries.

OFFSTATS: Official Statistics on the Web
Statistics arranged by country and topic,  linking to pages on a wide range of social, economic and political issues from international organizations, governments and educational institutions. 

Refugee Statistics (United Nations Refugee Agency)
Data, graphs and charts covering topics such as asylum applications, refugee status determination, recognition rates, refugee populations and movements, demographic characteristics and major refugee locations.

Reserve Bank of Australia Statistics
Includes exchange rates, commodity prices, government finance, financial markets, balance of payments, overseas economics statistics and other financial statistics.

Statistical Abstract  of the United States
Collection of statistics on social and economic conditions in the United States. 1995-2001 currently available. Link to the US Bureau of Census site.

A comprehensive collection of statistics on all topics from around the world.

Trade Statistics (World Trade Organization)
Includes International trade statistics in two principal sectors - merchandise and commercial services, current and historical.

Unesco Institute for Statistics
Statistics on education and literacy for all countries .  Also selected statistics for science and technology, culture, and communication.

UNICEF Statistical Data
Includes data on child survival and health, child nutrition, maternal health, water and sanitation, education and child rights.

United Nations Statistics Division
Provides a selection of social and demographic statistics for all countries, as well as details of their printed and online statistical resources.

WHO Statistical Information System
Guide to health and health-related epidemiological and statistical information from the World Health Organization and elsewhere, including life expectancy, cause of death, diseases, maternal mortality, immunization and health personnel.

Current population of countries, their administrative divisions, cities and towns, based on the most recent census or latest official estimates.

World Population Data Sheet (Population Reference Bureau)
Latest population estimates, projections, and other key indicators for 200 countries, including births, deaths, natural increase, infant mortality, fertility, life expectancy, urban population, HIV/AIDS prevalence, contraceptive use, population per square mile.

World's Women 2000 : trends and statistics
From the United Nations Statistics Division (see above) includes world wide tables on marital status, education and literacy, life expectancy, employment, violence against, relative wages, maternity leave and more.
