The Library staff welcome students from other countries who have come to study at the University of Tasmania, and they will be very pleased to help you.
Particular librarians in Hobart and Launceston have been chosen to look after students from other countries. These librarians are your special contacts and they will show you how to use the resources and services of the University's libraries.

There are items in our Libraries which are particularly useful for international students, for example, books to help you with studying, writing assignments and sitting exams. Ask at the Client Service Desk about these books.

Language dictionaries
The Launceston and Morris Miller libraries have a large collection of English - other language dictionaries. Some are in the Reference section, and others can be borrowed. Some of the languages covered are:-
Burmese, Chinese, French, German, Indonesian, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Malay, Spanish, Tagalog, Vietnamese.

Library publications should be on display and available in all branch libraries. Please ask at the Client Services Desk, if you need more assistance.
Each library has a number of computers which you can use for different things.
