The Library offers a wide range of electronic information resources which will help you to succeed in your studies if you are directly enrolled in a University of Tasmania course or you are enrolled in a course in collaboration with a local partner institution.
Online Resources
- Library Catalogue search - The Library catalogue lists books and journals that are available in the University of Tasmania Library .
- E-Journals - An electronic journal is much the same as a printed journal, but published electronically rather than on paper. You can use the E-journals link on the Library website to search the e-journals by title, browse the alphabetical list of titles, or browse by subject category. Use the library guides to find relevant journals for your subject.
- Databases - The databases are electronic indexes that are used to find journal articles on a particular topic. Some databases only give references to articles, others provide the full text of many articles. This link provides an A-Z listing of all UTAS databases. Use the library guide to find relevant databases for your subject. Many databases offer the option of various languages - contact your Liaison Librarian for further information

Accessing electronic information resources
Most of the Library's electronic resources are only available to University of Tasmania students and staff, so you will need to know your University of Tasmania email username and password to gain access. Whenever you click on a link to a restricted resource, you will be asked to enter your username and password

Printed information resources
If you need a chapter from a book or a journal article that the University Library holds in print format, you can request a photocopy using an Intercampus Article Request Form. For more detailed information, please consult your library guide.
