Who can use the Advanced Booking service?
Any University of Tasmania student or staff member may use the Advanced Booking service. Individuals who register as Special Borrowers with the University Library may also use the Advanced Booking service.
You will need your University of Tasmania student or staff ID number and your Library PIN. Library PINs are sent to new staff and students as part of the induction process. Special borrowers will need the barcode number (numerals only) on their Library Card and the number they selected as a PIN during the registration process. If you did not receive a Library PIN or have forgotten the number, please request it from the Library Client Services Desk at your library or submit an Ask Us form online.
What can I book using the Advanced Booking service?
Books, lecture notes, unit readers as well as CDs, DVDs, kits and other items held in Reserve collections may be booked using the Advanced Booking service via the Library Catalogue. An exception applies to items held at the Cradle Coast Campus, which are not available for loan.
When they are required for unit reading, journal articles in print publications and portions of Reserve books are scanned and are accessible as eReserve documents via the Library Catalogue.
How many Reserve items may I book at a time?

Reserve items must be borrowed and returned to the library holding the Reserve items. Reserve items cannot be requested using the Advanced Booking service.
