Who can use the Intercampus Article Request Service?
University of Tasmania Staff and students
You will need to provide your UTAS staff or student ID number on the request form
Individuals who are registered as Special Borrowers with the UTAS Library
You will need to provide the ID number found under the barcode of your special borrower's card.
Note - use the numerals only, not the letters at the beginning and end.
If you are not part of the University of Tasmania user community, you will need to use your local document delivery/interlibrary loan service to obtain items from the University of Tasmania.
What can I request using the Intercampus Article Request Service?
The Intercampus Article Request Service is available for articles in print journals held by the University Library but not held in a library on your campus. Selected high demand journal articles and book chapters from reading lists are available from eReserve. Registered Flexible Library Services clients may request book extracts, contents pages or reference book extracts.
The University Library subscribes to nearly 30,000 electronic journals that are accessible via the Library Catalogue.

How do I use the Intercampus Article Request Service via the Library Website?
Intercampus Article Request Service is available via the University of Tasmania Library Home Page.
- Search the Library Databases or CrossSearch for citations of journal articles.
- Search the Library Catalogue for the journal (not article) title.
- If the article is published in a journal title that is available only in print format and is not available on your campus, submit a request using the appropriate online form for your borrower category.
- Complete the form with your
- Contact details (including Student or Staff ID number or Special Borrower barcode numerals)
- Article details
- Delivery option (options vary across borrower categories).
- Read the User Agreement copyright declaration.
- Press Send to accept the declared copyright terms and to submit the request.
- Press Reset to reset the form or start a new request.
When will my requested articles be available?
Allow 3-4 working days for your article/s to be available via your selected delivery option.
You will be notified via email regarding any problems with your request.
What are the arrangements for registered Flexible Library Services clients?
Once registered, articles may be posted to your personal address or emailed to you. Flexible Library Services clients may also request book extracts, contents pages or reference book extracts.

What are the arrangements for Cradle Coast Campus clients?
To request a photocopy of an article to be delivered to the Information Resources Area (CCC), Cradle Coast Campus clients may use the appropriate Article Request Form for either Student or Staff and must select Cradle Coast Campus as the pickup location.
To request a photocopy of an article to be mailed directly to your personal address or scanned and emailed, Cradle Coast Campus clients may use the Intercampus Article Request Form for Flexible Library Services Clients and must select the correct delivery option (you must be registered with Flexible Library services for this service).
