Online Resources |

|
- Library Catalogue search - The Library catalogue lists books and journals that are available in the University of Tasmania Library . You may also be able to access electronic copies of journal articles and book chapters that are on your reading list.
- E-Journals - An electronic journal is much the same as a printed journal, but published electronically rather than on paper. You can use the E-journals link on the Library website to search the e-journals by title, browse the alphabetical list of titles, or browse by subject category.
- Databases - The databases are electronic indexes that are used to find journal articles on a particular topic. Some databases only give references to articles, others provide the full text of many articles.
-
Reference Resources
- Use the Online Reference Collection to access a variety of reference resources such as online dictionaries, encyclopedias, atlases, directories etc.
- Accessing electronic information resources
Most of the Library's electronic resources are only available to University of Tasmania students and staff, so you will need to know your University of Tasmania email username and password to gain access. Whenever you click on a link to a restricted resource, you will be asked to enter your username and password.
-
Printed information resources
If you need a chapter from a book or a journal article that the University Library holds in print format, you can request a photocopy using a Flexible Request Form. Australian copyright legislation restricts the amount that the University Library can photocopy for you. You may request: one chapter from each book or one article from each issue of a journal. The copies can be mailed to you, or emailed as an attachment.
