Tommy has taught both undergraduate and postgraduate units in international business and marketing for the School of Management. He has also lived and taught in Shanghai and is actively involved in the School of Management international programs in Shanghai, Hong Kong and Kuwait.
Prior to taking up a career in academia, Tommy had an extensive career in the retail sector where he held senior and state management positions in the areas of finance and services, retail development and business process management at two of Australia’s largest retail organisations – Coles Myer and Woolworths Supermarkets. Throughout this time Tommy also worked as a consultant in Australia and China advising on business process review, marketing strategy development and implementation and delivered leadership training for large multinational companies in China.
Tommy’s current research interests include international strategic and marketing issues of hotel industry in China, customer service quality and retail management.
