Abstract
Using ICT as innovation to improve organizational transformation is not a new theme in the arena of information systems research. However, identifying the decision making process in the adoption of ICT, especially enterprise systems, in small and medium sized businesses in Australia is an area with relatively little research done so far. Given the fact the majority of organizations in Australia are relatively small in size, research in the identification of the barriers in ICT adoption can provide insights on the assistance that Federal and State government can provide to the small business community so that these organizations can harness technology for greater economic benefits. The research plans to use a mixed methodology in data collection and analysis.
