The Physics (KYA004) and Mathematics (KMA003) foundation units are for potential University of Tasmania students who have not satisfied respective physics or mathematics prerequisites for entry into first-year units.
KYA004 is a pre-tertiary level unit which can be counted as a pre-requisite for KYA101/102 or any other units requiring PHYS5C or equivalent.

KMA003 is a pre-tertiary level unit which can be counted as a pre-requisite for enrolment in any mathematics units taught at the University of Tasmania with MTM315109 Mathematics Methods as a prerequisite.
The unit is offered a number of times per year.
