These Australian Government funded scholarships provide more than $24 000 (indexed) per year to students willing to work in rural or remote areas for six years upon completion of basic medical training and postgraduate training. The grant is tax free and not subject to any means test. The agreement is formalised in a contract between scholarship holders and the Australian Government. Annually, four scholarships are available at the School of Medicine.
Expressions of Interest in the MRBS Scheme for 2014 close 31 October 2013.
Please note: Expressions of Interest received after 31 October 2013 will not be considered.
Forms are available after 1 August each year.
Please note: Your expression of interest does not oblige you to accept a Medical Rural Bonded Scholarship.
