The School of Medicine has an excellent reputation for both Teaching and Learning coupled with world-class Research. The School is based in Hobart’s Medical Science Precinct, with Clinical Schools associated with the Royal Hobart Hospital and Launceston General Hospital, and in campuses throughout Tasmania and in Sydney.
The UTAS Wicking Dementia Research and Education Centre is offering a new course related to understanding conditions that cause dementia, as well as the provision of care for people with dementia. Applications for the Associate Degree in Dementia Care close 17 August 2012.
The School offers undergraduate degrees in Medicine (MBBS), Paramedic Practice and Biotechnology and Medical Research. Research Honours programs can lead to exciting research careers. Our coursework postgraduate courses build the capacity of health professionals in areas of Clinical Supervision, Health Service Management and Public Health.
