The Medicine Program at the University of Tasmania has a reputation for study coupled with world-class research. Medicine is based in Hobart's Medical Science Precinct, with Clinical Schools associated with the Royal Hobart Hospital and Launceston General Hospital, and in campuses throughout Tasmania and in Sydney.
Medicine offers undergraduate degrees in Medicine (MBBS), Paramedic Practice and Biotechnology and Medical Research. Research Honours programs can lead to exciting research careers. Our coursework postgraduate courses build the capacity of health professionals in areas of Clinical Supervision, Health Service Management and Public Health.
Kids and Families Program
A part of the training of medical students, the KFP introduces students to normal childhood and the importance of the family. It is the first long-term professional relationship that trainee doctors have.
