Staff at Medicine have a high commitment to quality teaching and research. On commencement of your appointment to the University of Tasmania, the Human Resources department will have sent you a Staff Induction Booklet. This set of documents contains forms which must be completed by you so that you can be paid and your UTAS Staff Card can be issued to you. These forms include:
The Staff Induction Booklet also contains information about the way the University operates, as well as information about the various services available to you. If you have any questions about the information contained in this booklet, please ask your supervisor or manager.
The booklet also contains a checklist for your supervisor to go through with you on your first day to ensure that you have all the resources required to start work.

The Medicine Website features a list of all staff within Medicine, and is a useful resource for providing your UTAS contact information. Academics and researchers use it to promote their teaching and research interests and enhance their online presence. It is important that you provide your information as soon as possible after commencement within the School so that other staff can get to know you quickly.
