The Hon Mark Butler MP delivered a public lecture addressing the issue of Australia's ageing population.
The Minister for Mental Health and Ageing delivered his address, titled A post-Hobbesian Australia: the implications of living longer for Australian society as part of the School Perspectives on Health public lecture series.
The lecture was held on 13 April 2011 at the Medical Science 1 building in Hobart.
Butler's presentation focussed on the issue of Australia's ageing population, and the challenges and opportunities posed by this seismic economic, social and political shift.
