General Responsibilities
This position has specific leadership responsibilities for establishing a close working relationship between the University of Tasmania and the Tasmanian Department of Health and Human Services, particularly in the delivery of Postgraduate Programs of the School of Medicine related to Health and Human Services, Clinical Leadership and Management.
This position is aligned with the Faculty of Health Science initiative in Health Services Innovation and will have a role in developing health and human services professionals and other health course graduates to successfully engage in leadership, management and innovation in modern healthcare settings and organisations.
This conjoint academic position will also have responsibilities for developing and implementing units related to the Health and Human Services, particularly with respect to the Unit on Foundations in Health and Human Services.

Additional Information
Dr Shannon currently holds a conjoint appointment between the Tasmanian Department of Health and Human Services and the University of Tasmania's School of Medicine (2011-2014).
At the Department of Health and Human Services Dr Shannon holds the position of Manager – Leadership and Management Development.
Dr Shannon is also a Honorary Associate with the University of Tasmania School of Government.
