General Responsibilities
Assoc Prof Warnecke joined UTAS in 2007. After designing, developing and delivering the 3rd Primary Care program for Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery degree from 2008-2010 she commenced in the role of Associate Head, Student Affairs, for the School of Medicine in July 2010. She also coordinates and teaches the 4th and 5th year General Practice rotations. She has an academic and clinical interest in self-care, mental health and stress management.

The Medical Editor of Medical Education interviewed Assoc Prof Emma Warnecke about the implications of a randomised controlled trial undertaken in 2009 to determine whether mindfulness practice can reduce the stress of senior medical students at the University of Tasmania.
